Psalm 91:4

Your Prayers Mean So Much

I wanted you to know how much your prayers mean to me and my entire family. Outside of Fulton’s accident, nothing has been more trying and testing of my faith than these last several weeks. Without your prayers, Fulton surely would have died. But God who is so rich in mercy has brought Fulton through.

For example, we found out 10 days ago, the medications the doctors were using to defeat the pneumonia failed. It could have been a disaster. Fulton’s future seemed bleak. So, the doctors decided to prescribe some very expensive and high powered antibiotics, designed to fight off very serious infections.

Praise God, he’s in the middle of the treatment right now and it looks like the new medication is working. Every day, he is getting stronger and more alert. His lungs are clear. He has 3 more days of meds to go and if all goes well, Fulton will be able to go back to the nursing home on Monday.

In spite of all the ups and downs, God has remained faithful. He has brought us through a very difficult time and will not leave us now. Thank you for being part of this story. I feel much closer to you than ever. God, using your prayer and love, has brought us through.

“He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.” Psalm 91:4

  1. Continuing to pray for your family. The strength and grace of our Lord is being shown to all as you chronicle Fulton’s journey. As I get older, it seems that we as humans don’t seem to value and appreciate our days – whether good or bad. Thank you again for sharing, you and Fulton are an encouragement to the Body of Christ……

  2. Lord, we thank you so much how you have answered all prayers concerning your family. Also, we thank you for they know it is only you that has brought them through and NONE of us, We thank you how you were merciful to listen to our prayers, We thank you that you have taught us through your word how to pray. We love and appreciate you Lord so very much. Amen!!!!!

  3. Amen to Psalm 91:4!! Prayer IS Powerful! And being thankful in all circumstances, is where we witness that ALL good things ARE from God. Your a an example of this Dawson and Ruth, and we thank God for this witness of WHO he is through your sharing of how THANKFUL you are!! Dear God, may all of this couples friends and family be in prayer often for the McAllister’s. May we as Christians help carry this family through prayer and the hands and feet of Christ. And may Fulton’s lungs stay clear after he goes off the meds, and may he not suffer pain and misery with treatments. We lift up Addison to your caring and loving arms during this difficult and confusing time. We thank you in advance for how you are going to use all this for good in her future, and for your Glory! In Jesus name, AMEN

  4. I cannot begin to understand how difficult this must be for you and Ruth Hill. I will be praying for Fulton throughout each day. I did hear today that he was getting a fever. God is good and great full of strength, and compassion. Thanks to Him that we are never alone. Many prayers.
