“Better are the wounds of a friend than the kisses of an enemy.”

Wounding a Friend

Here’s a word from Dawson…

I got a call from a guy who had a very close friend who got involved in drugs.

You know what his friend did?

He outed him. He got him arrested. And he was wondering if that’s the right thing to do.

I said it was. Because in a lot of cases, people don’t have the courage or are caring enough to do something to help your friend, who’s just a mess really, to face reality.

The wisest man in the Bible, King Solomon, said this, “Better are the wounds of a friend than the kisses of an enemy.” (Proverbs 27:6)

Sometimes, in love – we’ve got to wound our friends. And he did that. I say he’s courageous.

My friend, Dawson McAllister, created many timely life lessons for the everyday challenges we all face, I’m honored to continue sharing them with you each week.
