Here’s a word from Dawson…
You know when great things happen in our lives, and we have all this confidence coming from our being. You have to remember where all the success that caused the confidence came from – that’s God Himself.
David was a great fighter, as we know, a tremendous fighter and his men, those closest to him, his 30 mighty men. They were top dudes now. You don’t want to mess with them. Of course, there were a few of them. He had more, but in his inner few, there were about 30 men.
David and his army won a lot. It was tough, but it was God who was the one who got the glory for it.
“With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:29
That’s confidence! He wasn’t just talking about his men there; he was talking about God. God saw him through time and time again. He had a healthy confidence in the Lord, and he could praise God for it!
May we look at what we go through in life: struggles, boundaries, and war…. “With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.”
Let’s try to listen to the God who gives confidence. He might just give some to you.
