I trust all is going well with you and you are walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. Allow me to bring you up to speed with what’s going on within my family. It’s truly been a very difficult but an amazing time. I have experienced what God said to Isaiah, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)
My wife, Ruth Hill, discovered she had cancer in her uterus and breasts yet God has brought her through amazingly well! The cancers have not spread and all of it has been removed. We are now waiting to see if she will need chemo and radiation treatments. There is a board of doctors meeting today to determine if she needs these treatments. All in all, things have gone very well. God has been so good to us!
Meanwhile, Fulton has been in the fight of his life, facing the dreaded disease of pneumonia. In fact, when he was first brought into the hospital, he had sepsis. Sepsis is a potentially life-threatening condition caused by the body’s response to an infection. He was really sick. I thought sure we would lose him. The doctor told me he could have gone either way but as of today things look far better. Praise God, Fulton is moving in the right direction!
There is no way I can thank you enough for all your prayers and words of encouragement. God has truly done a miracle in my family and you have been a large part of it. The battle is not over but Fulton gets stronger day by day. What a gracious God we serve! He has done great things. I take courage in the words in Deuteronomy, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6)
