This is a special edition of Life Lessons. It’s special because Dawson is not here to write it, and because he needs your special prayers. He has been admitted to the hospital, and sometime in the next few days, he will be undergoing surgery to correct heart blockages.
He had intended to tell you that last Friday was the 10th anniversary of Fulton’s accident. He wanted you to join him in praising God that, against all odds, Fulton is doing better than at any time since the accident. And he wanted to thank you for your faithful and powerful prayers and persevering prayers. I am sure he will still be eager to celebrate with you when he is recovered.
But today, it is Dawson himself who needs to be lifted up. As you are aware, visitors, even family, are not allowed to enter the hospital. Thus he is facing this without the in person support of family (his wife Ruth Hill, son Gene and granddaughter Addison) and friends. They also need your prayers at this hour. They would storm the doors if only they could. So remember him to the Lord – remember his family to the Lord.
Still, he is not alone. The Holy Spirit is with him, bringing the peace of God and all the more as your prayers pile up on His throne. Thank you. I will send an update soon.
His friend and yours,
CEO, Dawson McAllister Association
