Special Request: Prayers for Dawson

This is a special edition of Life Lessons.  It’s special because Dawson is not here to write it, and because he needs your special prayers.  He has been admitted to the hospital, and sometime in the next few days, he will be undergoing surgery to correct heart blockages.

He had intended to tell you that last Friday was the 10th anniversary of Fulton’s accident.  He wanted you to join him in praising God that, against all odds, Fulton is doing better than at any time since the accident.  And he wanted to thank you for your faithful and powerful prayers and persevering prayers.  I am sure he will still be eager to celebrate with you when he is recovered.

But today, it is Dawson himself who needs to be lifted up.  As you are aware, visitors, even family, are not allowed to enter the hospital.  Thus he is facing this without the in person support of family (his wife Ruth Hill, son Gene and granddaughter Addison) and friends.  They also need your prayers at this hour.  They would storm the doors if only they could.  So remember him to the Lord – remember his family to the Lord.

Still, he is not alone.  The Holy Spirit is with him, bringing the peace of God and all the more as your prayers pile up on His throne.  Thank you.  I will send an update soon.

His friend and yours,
Tim Altman
CEO, Dawson McAllister Association

  4. We will be keeping you, Dawson, in our prayers as you face this trial… asking our God to guide the surgeon and all others who are taking care of you. We believe the Lord is able to fully restore your health!

    King James Version
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”
    Isaiah 26:3

    New Living Translation
“May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish
infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

  5. My prayers are with Dawson! May the Lord be with all of the medical staff blessing them with wisdom and direction concerning Dawson’s Care! I pray the Lord heal his heart completely and that he have a quick recovery!

  6. Praying for wisdom for Drs and nurses. Praying for Gods peace to wrap Dawson. Lifting up Ruth Hill and family. Such fond memories back in the 70’s and the difference Dawson made in my life and my relationship with Jesus.

  7. When God said ” In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”, I think of Dawson McAllister. May he receive the best medical care available and continue his amazing legacy of bringing hope to a “hopeless” world.

  8. Prayers for Dawson and appreciate updates. We used to listen to his radio program and pray for people calling in for help. No longer hear that but do read the emails. His love for Fulton has been shown as he shares prayer and praise needs for his son.

  9. Definitely praying for Dawson, anointing on dr’s and all caregivers. And of course Ruth Hill & family.

  10. Praying that God will give you his healing touch and for wisdom for the surgeon that will treat him.

  11. Always praying for Dawson and his family to be surrounded by God’s love and mercy at all times. Angels to protect and guide everyone taking care of Dawson and his family at this time. Fulton in his own way will lift his father up to the heavens for protection and healing. Dawson has always led us through each message with the right words of encouragement. Now it is our turn to do the same as our teacher has showed us in many ways. Thank you Lord for your love and healing each and every day.

  12. Joining with so many other friends to pray that all will go well for your heart procedure. God has promised to never leave or forsake HIs children. Great promise!

  14. We will certainly be praying that Dawson’s surgery is successful, and that he has a speedy and complete recovery!

  15. Dear Dawson,
I’m sorry to hear that you are in the hospital with heart issues. I will pray for your surgery and that you recover quickly and can go home to your family. I know it has to be hard on all of you since they can’t visit you. I will pray for each of them also. Just know that you have the prayers from many, many people whom you have helped and love you so very much. I love you very much also, dear cousin. Much love and prayers. Ann

  16. Dear Lord God, We come before you on behalf of Dawson, and praise you because we know he has stored up many treasures in Heaven because of his servant’s heart for the lost and broken. But we ask for your attention here and that you bless him while waiting for surgery. May he experience your love in a profound way, knowing love casts out all fear. Put a wall of protection around his room against covid virus and prepare the doctors well for surgery. Let your hand guide their hands during surgery so that all blockages are removed. Bring comfort to his family during this time and may this strengthen their faith in you. And for all those friends and followers who are concerned, may they pray and be comforted that you will take great care of Dawson. In Jesus name amen

  17. Praising God, for the miracles in this family’s lives. And I stand with every believer here, knowing that ONLY GOD can continue bringing miraculous healing to Dawson and Fulton. We ask Lord that You would be with the doctors, as they perform the surgery, and that You would supernaturally unblock the veins that are pumping blood to his heart. Lord, we believe that You can, and will bring this issue to pass, and that Dawson will have another testimony of your goodness towards his family. We pray for peace for each one, and ask that the warring angels will encompass all around him in the hospital. I command the demons of darkness to flee right now, and set the McAllister family free from any attacks of the devil. I claim victory, and plead the blood of Christ over every one of them. In Jesus name I pray!! Amen and Amen

  18. Praying for an uncomplicated procedure and a speedy recovery for Dawson. As he has prayed for others, now we also lift him up. Let the prayers of the righteous avail much on his behalf.

  19. Having gone through 4 stent installations a couple years ago I want Dawson to know that I have never felt better in my life than I do now. I believe he will feel more vibrant after his procedure than he has felt in years! God bless you Dawson and I know you know that God is with you every second of this whole process. He will sustain you through it all!

  20. Please tell Dawson that my prayers will be lifted up for his complete recovery and that I am thankful to God for your prayers for me in discouragement. Ps 23. I am very thankful for this ministry for our young people who need help direction andencouragement in their lives. So that they can find hope real hope for their lives in Christ Jesus!
