“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

Resisting a Strong Urge to Run to Fulton

I hope all is well with you, and you can sense the reality God is working in your life. There’s never a good reason to turn away from the Lord, after all He has done for us. He never runs out of ideas on ways to love us. What a beautiful truth that is!

Good News Concerning Nursing Homes

You may have heard the news concerning the governor in Florida, Ron DeSantis. He announced he would lift the state’s ban on nursing home visits, allowing visitors to see their loved ones if they follow the recommended guidelines. What good news! Hopefully soon, we can be with Fulton again, and the long wait will come to a close.

I had a powerful experience at the nursing home this week. I had to go there and sign some insurance papers. I arrived at the reception area, but that’s all the further they would allow me to go. I could see all the way down the hallway to where Fulton’s room was, but that was as close as I was going to get. I had a strong urge to just run to him and give him a big hug. That of course was not a good idea, but it was born out of my love for him. I was only there a few minutes, but my feelings were intense and real.

I have been wondering why God allowed this incident to take place. All I could think of was, He was showing me His intense love, wanting to always be by my side, to love and cherish. I’ve learned a lot about God’s love since the accident, nearly 10 years ago. I will never forget the strong feelings I experienced that day, longing to be near my son. God has infinitely more feelings for all of us; after all, we are His children.

“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth of His love, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”  (Ephesians 3:17-19)

  1. Perhaps the Lord-is increasing your trust and dependence on Him. The Lord God Almighty always cares for our children whether we’re with them or not. It is very difficult as a parent… you have done amazingly well. I love to hear your faith and trust in God and always leaning in more to Him. Praise Jesus Christ, you can see him soon. Hallelujah!
