Here’s a word from Dawson…
David said this in Psalm 25:16 &17, “Turn to me and be gracious to me.”
Now, David gets into truth telling –
“For I am lonely and afflicted.”
Some people struggle just to tell themselves the truth –
“I am lonely and I’m afflicted.”
“The heart is deceitful above all things, who can know it.” the Bible says (Jeremiah 17:9). We don’t like to tell the truth, but David told God the truth, “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. Relieve the troubles of my heart and free me from my anguish.”
Is it any wonder that God answered the prayers of David! David got right in there with God and said truth time. “Lord, here it is: I’m lonely. I’m afflicted. I’m full of anguish. I’m full of troubles. HELP!”
God helped. God touched his life over and over again. A little honesty goes a long way with God. Like we could fool Him anyway. God said…
Just tell me the truth. I am truth. I can help you. Show me your humility. We can go all the way and get this settled whatever it is you are struggling with.
Commit to tell the truth, and see what God has to say!
