2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Eternal Glory

Dear Praying Friend,

It will be nearly 8 years since Fulton had his accident. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. Looking back, I’m amazed at how God has used this experience in so many ways. One way he has used it in my life is to help me think a lot more about heaven. It will be so exciting, beyond our description, the day Fulton gets to be with the Lord. Nothing will ever be able compare to that!

The apostle Paul talked about this in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day. For our light and temporary affliction is producing for us an eternal glory that far outweighs our troubles. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” In comparison to eternal glory, Fulton’s struggles are small and won’t last very long.

I think about Fulton, Jesus and me all sitting down enjoying each other’s presence. It won’t be long now and we will be with Him forever! Whatever my imagination can stir up from within, it will never come close to what it will really be like. So, may we all keep our eyes on the prize and set our minds on eternity because that’s where the real action is.

Your Friend,

Dawson
