Luke 11:11-13

Drama over Fulton’s Birthday

We always have some drama this time of year over Fulton’s birthday. See the problem is he was born just a few days after Christmas (January 5th). He makes it clear there should be a special birthday party for him as well as Christmas and those gifts. I always give him a hard time. I tell him Christmas is enough…too bad for you! You’ve already received all the gifts you are going to get. He knows I’m just messing with him. Every year we make sure he’s not left behind.

So, in just a few days the party starts right there in the nursing home. Fulton will know once again we love him and won’t let him be forgotten and there are gifts for him to prove it. God wants us to know He will never forget us and His gift, His son, proves it.

Jesus said, “What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:11-13

Happy Birthday, Fulton!!!

Dawson
