Dear Praying Friend,
This last Saturday we celebrated my granddaughter, Addison’s 13th birthday. Addison is Fulton’s daughter and we have custody of her. We scheduled the party at a roller rink. Addison loves to roller skate and is proud to tell you she is a speed skater. There were 8 of her friends at the rink. It was so great to see her with her friends, all talking and giggling at once.
As the girls skated, I found myself watching for Addison. It’s not that I don’t care about the other girls, but Addison is my granddaughter. My attention was focused on her while she whizzed around the rink. As, I have told her many times before, I’m with her all the way.
I got to thinking about the Lord and how He is always watching us, willing to step in to help us no matter what the situation. She’ll remember this party the rest of her life with all the friends and family, who love her and were there for her. You’re probably wondering if I got out there and skated. No Way! I’m old but too young to die. It was a great time for another of life’s memories.
“For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer.” 1 Peter 3:12a
