Isaiah 43: 1-2

A Crazy 24 Hours

The last 24 hours have been crazy but I have felt God’s peace and I know He’s with us through it all.

Here’s what’s been going on: Fulton’s back in the hospital with pneumonia. Yesterday, he had to have surgery to remove part of a rib so they could get to the infection. In the process of surgery, his liver was nicked. They didn’t realize it, so he was bleeding internally for several hours before it was discovered. My wife and I have been at the hospital most of the night. We weren’t sure if Fulton was going to make it but he is much more stable as of this morning. They think the bleeding has stopped. His blood pressure is normal without meds, his heartbeat sounds good, and they’ve been able to drain the fluids from his lungs. We are waiting to see if he will need another surgery today to repair his liver.

We continue to need your prayers. Also, would you please pray for Fulton’s daughter, Addison. She’s struggling with the weight of all this.

I love you all and really treasure your love for me, Fulton, and my family. I’ll keep you updated.

  1. Dear Lord, first I want to thank you for all you have done in the life of this family. God you have been so very faithful to each and everyone of them. I pray that they remember you said that there would be tribulation however, you have left the Holy Spirit who is our Counselor, Helper, and Guider. I pray that they know you are a God of compassion and hope. I pray that they know that every prayer you have heard and every tear you have felt. I thank you Lord for loving all of them and being with them. I pray for Fulton’s daughter. I pray that she will commit to you everything in prayer. I pray that she knows that you love her and you feel and know her struggles. I pray that she will reach out to you and say Lord have Mercy on me. I pray that she will say a very simple pray Jesus help me. I pray that she knows Fulton is your child first and you have the perfect plan for him. I pray that she will cry out to you, dwell in you, and feel your Holy Presence. I pray that she knows you are a Sovereign God!!! I pray that she will tap into the peace that you have given her. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Lord, thank you so much for being with them and allowing your compassion and love to show. Please, encircle them with your strength. 2. Hi Dawson, That is very unfortunate to hear, especially about precious Addison. I thought to share this quote that I like:
“You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.” Corrie Ten Boon….Dear Lord, you know that life is not easy her on earth, and especially for this family that has been faithful to you. With your gentle arms, may you hold them and bring peace to them now, surrendering all of thier will, to be replaced with your will. That you comfort them in their grief and carry them through each moment. I ask you to make your presence known to Addison, in the way you will know how to comfort her. Give her grandparents the assurance that you will protect her future, and you will use these experiences, however painful, for good in this world. In Jesus name, AMEN. ….God watched over me when I was Addisons age, and my mom was sick for a couple of years and passed away. He used that in my life and now for others for good!God takes care of the little ones. PEACE be with you two.

  7. I am so sorry you are going through this. I am going through a similar plight. The story is so long I’m sick of telling it.
I don’t ask why,we will never know.i do marvel at how many times I can nearly die,and then come back.
It’s been like a test,a struggle between the one who kills, steals and destroys vs. The one who gives and is life.
Somehow through the terror of valley of the shadow of death, life wins.
Life here or heaven, still life wins.
Praying for mercy, for all of you.

  10. I’m an RN who enjoys reading your updates. I’m concerned about the medical crisis Fulton is going through and the impact on all of you. I’m glad it is OK to ask us to pray for Fulton and the group of you and especially Addison. I’m thankful that you are experiencing God’s peace during this very difficult time. “Father God, Thank you for being our ABBA, who watches over every detail of the impact of the accident so long ago upon Fulton and his family. Lord, please help Addison particularly be able to encounter you JESUS and release her burdens to you over the difficulties her Dad is enduring. You know so well the chronic loss this has brought upon her – the huge change of the relationship with her beloved Dad. You know her hopes that her Dad will be restored completely. And so far, that hasn’t happened. Jesus, YOU ARE the ONLY ONE so loving and powerful to be able to help her KNOW YOUR GREAT LOVE and PEACE in the face of such horrendous loss and challenge. We look to YOU JESUS to intervene and help beloved Addison, Fulton and other family members truly encounter YOU in the midst of these overwhelming things. We thank You that Fulton’s life is securely kept by You. We TRUST YOU and I, in agreement with many others, do decree and declare a breakthrough in this situation orchestrated by Holy Spirit’s great care. To You Jesus be the Glory. LIGHT OF GOD BE released to touch many for the glory of Jesus’ Holy Name. Thank you Jesus. Amen Your sister in Christ, Chris Resch, Minneapolis MN
